My First Project
While my Mother's side of the family is Irish/Celtic, Pagan, and Wiccan, My Father's side of the family's culture is also rich.
I myself am a Native American. I was born into the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma. My Papa was full blooded Native of 2 different tribes. Needless to say, spirituality is in my blood.
Tarot was definitely present in my life growing up, and is still something I'm interested in today.
That being said, when I was 16, I grew a new love and appreciation for insects. When I was on the truck with my Dad for the Summer, the true meaning of our existence was heavy on my mind. It was then I saw a crushed butterfly on the front of the grill of his truck. Deeply saddened, I tried to help the creature and give it a burial. It was then it's wing snapped, leaving dust on my hands. It was a bit morbid I will admit, but it helped me to realize that life is precious. Everyone on this earth has a reason for living, and while it is bad to kill it is not bad to die. (The Iron Giant)
After this spiritual awakening, I grew a special interest in Entomology. I love, love LOVE bugs!! I always have, since I was a toddler. So, I searched for a specific Tarot deck themed around insects but (un)-fortunately I didn't find any. So I made my own!
